Rietondale Park
Not only is this park the largest in Pretoria, it hosts very popular sporting grounds for tennis, cricket and soccer. The map below indicates different sections of the park. A is a paved circle route, very convenient for joggers/ walkers. Many shady trees and tables with benches are found in the middle - this makes for convenient picnic spots. B represents some soccer fields and C is a picnic area with some swings and jungle gyms. D is a quiet area with its own entrance on the other less-busy side of the park. It's a perfect spot for training. E indicates a few tennis courts as part of the Rietondale Tennis Club.
Rietondale Park is also very popular among dog-lovers... You'll always meet a few interesting people and their canine companions! It is unfortunately not the best place to go if your dog is not well socialized. Very few of the many dogs you'll meet there are walked on leashes. The park is completely fenced. Don't expect any water tabs. Rietondale Park is situated on the corner of Soutpansberg road and Van der Merwe street, Rietondale.
